Delcam, the leading specialist supplier of CADCAM systems to the global toolmaking industry, is pleased to announce that it will sponsor the 11th International Conference of the International Special Tooling & Machining Association (ISTMA). The Conference is to be held in Bangkok on 9th to 15th May, the first time that it has been held in Asia.

ISTMA is an international association representing twenty-five special tooling and machining associations throughout the world. Collectively, ISTMA member associations represent over 8,000 companies and over $40 billion U.S. dollars in annual sales.

The Association meets regularly to review developments affecting the toolmaking industry throughout the world and to hear reports from the different member associations. Roger Onions, President of the Gauge and Toolmakers Association, will present the report on the status of toolmaking in the UK.

The Conference will also feature a session on supply chain issues, with presentations from purchasing, engineering and supply chain officials from leading global customers. Confirmed speakers include representatives from Toyota, Boeing, Oingdao Haier Molds Co. and Panasonic.
