CADCAM developer Delcam is to host a major conference organised by the Association of Aerospace Universities on Aerospace Materials and Manufacturing at its Birmingham headquarters on 20th and 21st October 2004. The conference will feature presentations on current research programmes under way at the Association’s member universities, together with a number of contributions from industry. |

Topics to be covered during the conference will include developments in all types of aerospace materials and research into their properties, advances in materials processing and process modelling, novel manufacturing and assembly techniques, and inspection and quality assurance methods. “Research now being undertaken at our member universities will have a significant influence on the materials and manufacturing techniques that will be used in the industry,” claimed conference co-ordinator Dr. Mike Jacobs. “This conference will give aerospace manufacturers an ideal opportunity to find out more about our current research programmes and the potential impact on their businesses.” Dr. Jacobs is currently finalising the conference programme.
