| Delcam’s PS-Electrode now provides direct link to Charmilles EDM equipment |
Delcam has made its PS-Electrode software for the design of electrodes even easier to use by providing a direct link to the CT Millennium control for Charmilles EDM equipment. As with the existing link offered to the Agievision control used on Agie’s EDM machines, the new connection to Charmilles equipment provides direct programming of the control and so makes the overall process both faster and less prone to error. |

| Delcam’s PowerINSPECT certified for use in Russia |
Delcam’s PowerINSPECT inspection software has received certification for use throughout Russian industry following extensive tests in the State Unitary Enterprise “VNIIM D.I. Mendeleyev” laboratory of metrology. The certification, to the Russian Standard MI 2174-91, confirms that the software conforms to the required standards of accuracy and repeatability when used to inspect tooling, prototypes or components against CAD data. |

| CATIA V5 out option added to PS-Exchange on-line data translation |
Delcam has added the ability to generate files in the CATIA V5 format from all major CAD file types to its PS-Exchange on-line data translation service. This latest addition continues Delcam’s determination to offer fast, accurate translation of all leading CAD formats and so reduce the pressure on toolmakers and other sub-contractors to buy expensive additional software simply to be able to offer data compatibility to their customers. |

| Delcam to launch new jewellery
design and manufacture software in Asia |
Delcam will stage the Asian launch of the latest version of its
ArtCAM JewelSmith software at the Bangkok Jewellery Fair exhibition
to be held from 12th to 16th September. The software is already widely
used by designers, model makers and manufacturers of all types of
jewellery, whether it is bespoke, custom-made pieces or mass-produced

major CAD formats |
Delcam is offering a free CAD viewer that will allow users to view,
but not change, CAD models in all the major formats, including CATIA
versions 4 and 5, Pro/Engineer 2001 and Wildfire, SDRC, Unigraphics,
SolidWorks and Solid Edge, as well as industry standards such as Parasolid
XT, IGES, VDA and STEP. The free viewer can be downloaded from the

to STL translator |
Delcam has enhanced its PS-Exchange on-line data translation service
with the addition of automatic file fixing to its STL output option.
This improvement will ensure that the STL files able to produce high

software for complex design work |
Delcam has launched a new version of its PowerSHAPE hybrid modelling
software that offers a complete solution for designers of complex
shapes such as those found in the footwear, packaging, ceramics, sports
equipment and electrical appliance industries. PowerSHAPE Pro includes
all of the surface and solid modelling capabilities within PowerSHAPE,
together with the PS-Draft drafting software and the PS-Render system
for generating photo-realistic images. |

for PowerMILL CAM software |
Delcam has introduced a new post-processing system, PM-Post, that
runs automatically from within its PowerMILL CAM software to process
CL data into a tape file appropriate to the selected machine tool
control. The new system will make it much easier for users to make
changes to the standard range of post-processing options that might
be needed after any upgrade or other modification to their machine
tools. |
